The Ecole des Maîtres is an advanced theatre workshop for young actors. Created by Franco Quadri in 1990, and now in its 25th year.
The Ecole des Maîtres training course provides a unique opportunity for actors to work alongside and learn from some of the most renowned directors on the international scene. It is open to young actors who have completed their training in European theatre schools and academies of dramatic art and who are already professionally active. The aim of the programme, which is purposely designed to encourage the comparison and exchange of expertise regarding the methods and practices of theatrical production, is to foster a relationship between the participating actors through shared work experience and exposure to different texts and different spoken and artistic languages during the course of a series of itinerant workshops.
Twenty actors will be selected to participate in this 25th edition of Ecole des Maîtres, with a total of four actors / actresses from each partner country.
The workshop will be held in English without the mediation of interpreters and therefore participants are required to have a high level of competence in the English language.
